An ever-increasing number of our clients are travelling from south of the border, some from as far away as Wexford. This is similar to the situation with Northern Ireland based dentists, and there are a number of reasons why this is happening:

Financial

Irish citizens can use The Department of Social Welfare grant that’s available for the purchase of hearing aids. This will reimburse you for up to 50% of the cost of any hearing aids purchased (for either one single hearing aid or a pair of aids), if you qualify for the benefit. This grant can be used in Northern Ireland.

Hearing aid prices are up to 40% lower in Northern Ireland than you’re likely to pay in the Republic of Ireland – for exactly the same product.

A very advantageous exchange rate means that you get much more for your
Euro.

Accessibility

Wright Hearing is easily accessible from south of the border. We are the closest independent hearing aid specialists to the border when travelling from the Newry direction. You have a choice as to where to have your consultation – Banbridge, Portadown or Markethill.

If you are considering making the journey to visit us, we’ll make sure you have clear directions to our premises. We can even arrange to meet you at the bus or railway station.
