Find the right hearing aid for your needs

We supply 7 makes of hearing aids. If you're looking for a particular make and model, we feel confident that you'll find it among these 7, as they are the main hearing aid manufacturers in the world. If however, you find that you can't see the wood for all those trees in the way, you can take advantage of our experience to find the right hearing aids for your needs. It doesn't have to be a mine field, as we are well used to helping people who have never heard of any of these manufacturers to hear well with something that works effectively and does what you need it to do.

Phonak

Phonak are a Swiss owned manufacturer and part of the Sonova Group. With their UK headquarters in Warrington, Phonak are one of the most technologically innovative hearing aid manufacturer. They were the first to offer titanium completely in the canal hearing aids (Virto B Titanium) as well as lithium ion rechargeable aids(Audeo B-R and Bolero P-BR). We work extremely closely with Phonak and are are especially enthusiastic about the hearing aids they make. We also offer an extended warranty for the first 5 years - free of charge!

Styles:

Broadly, Phonak hearing aids come in 3 distinct styles:

Audeo - receiver in the canal (or RIC)
This discreet aid nestles behind the ear and has a very thin plastic coated wire taking the sound down into the ear canal. A very cosmetic solution which is available in a variety of sizes and with different options.

Virto - an in the ear option
Ideal for those who prefer to have everything in the ear itself. Varies in size from the almost invisible in the ear canal nano, CIC and Virto B Titanium to the larger canal aids and up to the full shell version.

Bolero and Naida - behind the ear hearing aids 
Ideal for those who need extra power. Used with an ear mould and tube to deliver sound into the ear.

Unitron

Unitron are a sister company to Phonak, under the Sonova umbrella. Unitron are based in Kitchener, Canada, but with their UK operation in Warrington. Unitron produce a wide range of hearing aids, with the latest North chip processing sound at faster speeds.

Styles:

There are 3 hearing aid styles:

Moxi - receiver in canal or RIC version

Stride - in the ear style
Varies from the very small invisible in the canal to the full shell size

Stride - behind the ear aid
The same technology as the in the ear version, only in a behind the ear format

Each style comes in 5 different technology levels, so you are bound to find one that suits your lifestyle and is appropriate for where you need to hear.

Oticon

Part of the William Demant group, which also includes the retailer Hidden Hearing, Oticon are a Danish manufacturer with
their UK headquarters in Hamilton. One of the world's largest aid manufacturers, Oticon make hearing aids right across
the spectrum - from very tiny invisible in the ear aids to excellent power behind the ear instruments. 

Oticon hearing aids include the ground breaking OPN, which is only available in receiver in canal style. Their other
hearing aids - Alta2, Alta2 Pro, Nera2, Nera2 Pro and Ria2 and Ria2 Pro are available in all hearing aid styles (RIC,
ITE AND BTE). In addition to these options, Oticon have the high power Dynamo range for severe to profound hearing
losses. 

Please be aware that Hidden Hearing often re-brand Oticon hearing aids, so it can be quite difficult to compare the
re-branded ones with the Oticon product names in our price list. If you are unsure as to what the Hidden Hearing version
equates to, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to enlighten you! 

Styles:

Oticon hearing aids include the ground breaking OPN, which is only
available in receiver in canal style. Their other hearing aids - Alta2
and Alta2 Pro, Nera2, Nera2 Pro, Ria2 and Ria2 Pro are available in all
hearing aid styles (RIC, ITE and BTE). In addition to these options,
Oticon have the high power Dynamo range of behind the ear aids for
severe to profound hearing losses. 
 

Widex

Another Danish hearing aid manufacturer! Their UK headquarters are in Chester and they are a family owned organization with innovation at it's core - they invented the world's first digital hearing aid! The latest Widex platform is the Unique range of hearing aids.

Unique and come in all styles: 

RIC versions
Passion, Fusion and Super.

In the ear
From IIC (invisible in canal), through to CIC, canal and full-shell aids

Behind the ear
Full range of BTEs and mini BTEs.

All of the Widex Unique range come in 4 technology levels from the premium 440 range, the mid level 330 and 220s, to the standard 110 version.

Sivantos

Sivantos (or formerly Siemens Hearing) have their UK base in Crawley, West Sussex and are well known having a long history of supplying hearing aids to the NHS. Sivantos bought Siemens hearing division in 2015 and have continued to develop the brand, with the latest Primax range proving particularly popular.

RIC
These are available in Ace,Pure and the latest lithium battery-powered Cellion.

In the ear
Insio are available in all sizes - from the IIC to larger canal-sized and full-shell aids.

Behind the ear
Motion aids cover a wide variety of hearing losses with the thin tube versions popular for mild losses and the P and SP models more suitable for clients with a severe loss.

The Sivantos range mainly come in 3 technology levels: Primax 7, Primax 5 and Primax 3.

Resound

Resound are the third of our Danish hearing aid manufacturers and another company which has been responsible for driving forward the hearing aid revolution. Their UK base is in Bicester. Resound were the first to introduce small open fit hearing aids with the original Air, and have continued in this vein with the LiNX - aids which connect wirelessly to iPhones and iPads, so that you can use your hearing aids as Bluetooth devices as well. 

Resound Hearing Aid Styles:

The LiNX 3D comes in all 3 styles of aid: up with your iPhone and other Apple devices to stream music and phone calls to your aids without the need for an intermediary device (not all LiNX aids can stream, so if in doubt, please ask us). The LiNX 3D also includes the unique microphone in helix aids - these have the microphone at the end of a plastic coated wire which curls around the helix or bowl area of your ear.

LiNX 3D come in 3 technology levels - the top of the range 9, mid range 7 and standard 5.

The LiNX 3D comes in all 3 styles of aid. These aids can be paired up with your iPhone to stream music and phone calls to your aids without the need for an intermediate device (not all LiNX aids can stream, so if in doubt, please ask us).

Resound also do a very good range of budget aids - Enya, and a very
powerful BTE range - Enzo2. 

Starkey

Starkey are a US manufacturer with a UK base in Stockport. They were the first to come up with the concept of the invisible in the canal hearing aid - an aid so small that, in most reasonably sized ears, it truly cannot be seen! Their invisible SoundLens continues to be one of the most discreet hearing aids you can buy.

Starkey Hearing Aid Styles:

Starkey's Muse range covers an array of styles: RIC, BTE and ITE (including CICs, but not IICs). Muse comes in 5 technology levels.

Halo 2 is Starkey's answer to everyday connectivity to Apple devices. You can stream music and take phone calls by downloading the TruLink App and then linking up with your iPhone and iPad. You can also adjust and control your hearing aids with the app on your iPhone. Halo 2 is available in RIC style as well as a BTE aid and is can be bought in 3 technology levels.
